Our Bodum teapot became very old, so this was a replacement.
The infuser stays put, no need to hold with another hand when pouring, the shut-off works as intended, overall we are rather happy with the purchase. |

| Actually when I ordered it I thought the teapot would be a little larger. However, I like the fact you can control the strength or intensity of the tea by lowering and raising the lid of the infuser. This allow for more cups. Especially if you're brewing those expensive or rare teas. Careful if you find the need to lift the infuser out of the teapot while brewing-----it's hot. All in all, I love how the infuser keeps in the tiny tea particles which allow for more sharp tasting, clearer and flavorable tea. I'm hoping to find a similar teapot only a little larger. |
Glass pot handle cracks, replacement not available

There is no doubt that the BonJour Loire Collection Glass Tea Maker makes a wonderful pot of tea, and looks great doing it. Add the loose leaf tea, hot water, let it brew, and then press the plunger and serve. However, the design and construction of the glass pot that looks so great, makes it easy to develop cracks in the lower part of the handle where it connects to the pot. Ours lasted three months before cracking.
Considering this tea system costs roughly $50, and it lasted less than 100 days, its an expensive cup of tea.
Replacement glass pot not available. |

| I bought two of these, knowing that they are prone to cracking. But I didn't realize just how prone. The first one lasted 3 months, the second less than 3 weeks. They are great while they last, but are really not very robust (much less so than other glass teapots I've owned in the past). |
